Green Tea Extract For Weight Loss

Green tea has been drinken for centuries and still remains one of the most popular teas in China and contains powerful antioxidants which may help fight against heart disease, cancers and other diseases. More recent studies have shown that green tea is also beneficial to weight loss.

One of the most recent studies which appeared in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition showed people who drank a bottle of green tea extract everyday for 3 months lost more body fat than the participants who drank regular tea.

It is thought the chemical epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG) found in green tea increases the metabolism while also releasing the hormone noradrenaline which is an appetite suppressant.

The study published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition also shows that the consumption of catechins in green tea lead to both reduced body fat and LDL cholesterol levels.

Now that you know the many benefits of green tea, just how do you need to drink to lose weight?

Based on the recent research you would need to drink at least four cups of green tea daily to get any results. There are now also green tea supplements on the market which provide higher concentrated doses of green tea in a capsule form. The quality of the supplements will vary so it's best to do your research.

But you don't really need to take supplements to receive all the benefits of green tea. Try replacing your daily cups of coffee or regular tea with green tea. It's also a good drink in between meals which may help satisfy your hunger pangs while providing your body with a good dose of antioxidants.

There are so many benefits to drinking green tea that weight loss is really just the icing on the cake. This is one great way to stay healthy while shedding a few excess pounds.

Achieving Instant Weight Loss With the Mind - You Can Do it Too!

Have you ever give some thought about conditioning your mind to break an invisible barrier to achieve instant weight loss? This method of conditioning the brain is something that is not commonly discussed, let alone being raised as an issue. However, I will literally "dissect" this method and share my findings with you in this article. I have decided to shed some light on this topic for the greater good. Alright then, let us get started right now!

Many people want to achieve instant weight loss, but very little actually managed to take action. You have to take action. This is one of the most important steps you have to take, and this step should not be skipped. You would have never know what the impact is to your brain when you finally lose the first elusive pound in your life.

You are essentially sending a powerful message to your brain and telling it that it is a doable process and then your brain will be conditioned to accept the instant weight loss you are about to achieve. When your brain receives this groundbreaking message, it fires up a chain of reactions in your brain that we cannot see. You will start gaining momentum and before you know it, you lost your second pound.

What's even better is that this process works on itself. It feeds itself over and over again, which means it gets easier and easier to lose even more weight and achieve the "instant weight loss" target. Sooner or later, you will be hitting your target weight and maintaining that weight would be as easy as ABCs! You just have to condition your brain to start losing weight.

Fasting For Weight Loss - Just a Fad Or Effective Weight Loss?

Fasting for weight loss is a bit of a trend lately especially for celebrities and the rich. However it's really much older than today's trend. Gurus on mountaintops have been fasting for thousands of years and even the common folk have fasted for religious observances.

The real question though is does it work and more importantly is it safe?

I want to cover safety first. Fasting can be very dangerous if some simple guidelines are not followed. If you're currently not healthy or eating a healthy diet you could be taking unnecessary risk. If you're overweight enough to be researching weight loss then it just might be possible that you're not healthy enough to be fasting for weight loss.

Another thing to consider is the medication you take even if you just take a Tylenol. Fasting and medication don't go well together.

The next question you should consider is whether or not it actually works.

Well if you have quite a few pounds to lose then fasting is not the way to go. The length of fasting days you would need to lose substantial weight could do you more harm then good. However if you only have a few pounds to lose then yes fasting will help you lose them.

Ready for the bad news yet? The only thing you will be losing is water. That's right your body will lose water first then it will start to burn carbohydrates and the fat burning is last in line.

Guess what happens after you're done fasting. You start to gain back all the weight you lost during the fast. This happens because the body will naturally slow down its metabolism when it starts to sense starvation coming on. This is perfectly natural since it is trying to conserve whatever nutrients and energy it has in the body at the time. The worst part is you don't only gain back what you lost but you gain even more.

The bottom line is fasting is not a good weight loss plan. You don't need to starve yourself and be hungry to lose weight.

And even though you'll probably lose some pounds by fasting for your weight loss, why would you want to? There are so many other great ways to lose weight today without starving yourself.
